Roderick Sheldon
has been crafting fine musical products for over thirty years.
He believes in creating a quality instrument anyone can afford
and learn to play without any prior knowledge of music.
Musicians around
the world play Roderick's hammered and mountain dulcimers,
banjos, and sweet sticks (also known as strum sticks).
Roderick is a veteran of the Michigan Renaissance Festival and
other festivals throughout the United States. He considers
himself more of a sound sculptor than an instrument builder.
He is always searching for the right amalgamation of wood,
metal, air and any other elements he can bring together to
deliver the most dulcet tones possible.
Roderick lives
in the north woods of Michigan near the banks of the beautiful
Sturgeon River. He enjoys organic gardening, raising
chickens and goats, and of course playing music.
